Dans l’affaire Ticket To Cairo concernant la prestation du jockey mauricien dans l'épreuve d'ouverture de la 14e journée (Ticket To Cairo), l’appel de ce dernier a été retenu par la Comité d’Appel de la Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) ce vendredi 04 novembre 2022.
De ce fait, la sanction de 3 journées de suspension sous la règle 208 (j) qui lui a été infligée est annulée.
''The Hrd has been informed today by the Appeal Committee of the Gra that in the matter of Nabeel Sheik Batchameah (Ticket To Cairo), the appeal should be allowed, the conviction and sentence is quashed.''
Le règlement 208 (j) stipule ''when riding in a race, a jockey shall : ‘’ride his mount, throughout the race, to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards.’’
