The Appeal Committee of the GRA has informed the HRD today that Bernard Faydherbe's appeal (Master Mariner) is allowed. Thus the conviction and sentence are quashed.

He was charged under the rule 208(a) and found guilty by the Racings Stipes on the 29th of August 2022. He was therefore suspended for 10 race meetings.

Rule 208 (a) stipulates that when riding in a race, a jockey shall : ‘’take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race to ensure that his horse is given the full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible place in the field.’’
