General 1. Prior to the commencement of this race, the instructions for all riders were taken by the Stipendiary Stewards. In this regard, each of the instructions matched the racing pattern of the horses except for PROFICIENT (K. Ramsamy) whereby Asistant Trainer U. Nagadoo advised the Stipendiary Stewards that Jockey K. Ramsamy will not bounce the horse to lead and will be handy with pace and HIGH VOLTAGE (S. Rama) where Trainer A. Sewdyal advised that the Jockey S. Rama will ride the horse with the intention to lead if it jumps well. These changes of tactic were disseminated to the public.

gap had increased between him and the leaders. Jockey J. Bardottier explained that he was of the view that his mount could not move faster despite him trying. The Stipendiary Stewards noted the explanation of Jockey J Bardottier. 5. Relying on a report from the Veterinary Surgeon that TRIPPI'S EXPRESS was severely distressed after the race and posed a danger in races, TRIPPI'S EXPRESS has been accordingly, banned from racing. Trainer S. Hurchund appeared before the Stipendiary Stewards and was informed of the decision.
