General 1. Prior to the commencement of this race, the instructions for all riders were taken by the Stipendiary Stewards. In this regard, each of the instructions matched the racing pattern of the horses except for ENIGMA CODE (J. Bardottier) where Trainer D. Zaki advised the Stipendiary Stewards that Jockey J. Bardottier will not insist for the lead and CHRISTMAS ICECREAM (G. Aucharuz) where Trainer N. Rawat advised the Stipendiary Stewards that the horse will be ridden with the intention to lead. These changes of tactics were disseminated to the public. 2. Prior to the start of this race, the near fore shoe of FRENCH REBEL (J. Allyhosain) had to be refitted. 3. After being loaded, CHRISTMAS ICECREAM (G. Aucharuz) played up in the stalls, injured the Jockey and ducked under the gates and bolted. Subsequently the horse was scratched. As the horse was apprehended, it collided with the rails near the 270m. Accordingly, the gates and rails had to be fixed. 4. Jockey G. Aucharuz was referred to the Course Medical Officer and was subsequently stood down for the remainder of the race meeting. 5. In view of the above factors, the start of the race was delayed.
