1. Jockey S Rama (MISTY ROLLER) carried 1.0 kg overweight. 2. Soon after the start, MOON JUMPER (S Bussunt) was steadied, shifting-in, in order to take cover and in the process inconvenienced MISTY ROLLER (S Rama). 3. The Stewards took note of the riding of Apprentice I Taka (SUPREME ORATOR), who when questioned, stated that his instruction was to sit behind TRAVELIN MAN (R Joorawon) and TALISMAN (D Bheekary) and then ride out. The Stewards opined that Apprentice I Taka could have sat closer to the leaders in the middle stages of the race. And then Apprentice I Taka (SUPREME ORATOR) was observed to have dropped his right rein momentarily at the top of the straight. Further, Apprentice I Taka (SUPREME ORATOR) had travelled wider than the other horses while negotiating the home turn and in the straight, as such, he was reminded of a previous enquiry where he was told to ride his horses close with the inside horses and not drift wide. 4. Trainer V Allet was questioned regarding the improved performance of TALISMAN (D Bheekary) with respect to its run-on 18th June 2022, where it ran 7th. He explained that this gelding had a wide Draw and was bumped at the start in its last run, lost interest in the running and due to the wide draw had travelled wide despite of which the horse was about 6 lengths behind the Winner. The Stable had fancied the horse on the previous occasion also but the race did not go well for the horse. Today with a small field to race with and having a favourable draw, the stable had fancied TALISMAN. He added that the race went well for the horse as it had jumped well and could be advantageously placed in the race which was helpful in the horse’s performance.
