Acting on a report from the Course Medical Doctor that Jockey O Sola, a declared rider for the day, had provided an abnormal breath sample which was an alleged contravention of Rule 94 of the Rules of Racing and was stood down from all his engagements for the day. An inquiry has been opened into the matter. 2. At the start, NORTHERN REBEL (N Marday) jumped outwards awkwardly. 3. Soon after the start, MASTEROFALLISURVEY (I Taka) ducked out whereby the rider was unbalanced momentarily and then took the running of TIGER'S BOND (A Roy) which was steadied. MASTEROFALLISURVEY (I Taka) was caught wide in the middle stages. 4. After the race, a review was held into the running of the race in the home stretch owing to an alleged interference passing 100m as DAYLA VISTA, the declared Winner, shifted ground inwards and made contact with WILDE WORLD, placed 2nd by the Judged. Whilst deciding, the Stewards were satisfied that the interference was close to the winning post and after the interference WILDE WORLD did not appear to gain ground on DAYLA VISTA and that Jockey RK Chumun (WILDE WORLD) had not stopped riding at any stage. Therefore, the Stewards could not be satisfied that but for the interference WILDE WORLD would have finished ahead of DAYLA VISTA. Hence, the correct weight was declared on the Placings as declared by the Judge. 5. An inquiry was held on 14th Sep 2022 at the Office of the Horse Racing Division. The Stewards interviewed Jockey O Sola in respect of his abnormal breath sample provided by him before the races on 11th Sep 2022, when he was declared to ride TIGER’S BOND in the first race of Race Meeting 20 at the Champ De Mars Racecourse, that gave a reading of 20 micrograms of ethanol per 100 ml of breath. Jockey O Sola pleaded guilty to the charge in that he was found in contravention of Rule 92 (a) of Rules of Racing, read in conjunction with Rule 94 (a) of the Rules of Racing. 6. After having considered the submissions of Jockey O Sola and his mitigating circumstances, the Stewards imposed a penalty of suspension from riding in races for a period of one month, covering a period of 06 Race Meetings i.e., from 18th Sep 2022 up to the midnight of 17th Oct 2022. Soon after, VOLATILE ENERGY (A Roy) shifted in and went across GIRATORIO causing GIRATORIO to shifted in on to OXFORD BLUE who made contact with UNBELIEVABLE LAD and ricocheted back on to GIRATORIO and was awkwardly placed behind the heels of TRAVELIN MAN and steadied. 4. GIRATORIO (D Schwarz) travelled wide while coming into the home turn and in the straight. 5.
