OVERDOSE (B Deenath) raced wide in the back stretch briefly and then near the 450m crossing. 9. Jockey B Fayd'herbe (SHESH BESH) reported that his horse ran green and was flat in the running. The Stewards interviewed the Jockey, who explained that he felt that the horse was finding its feet in the running and that he did not find him as comfortable as the other horses and that’s what he meant by his horse being ‘green’. He added that the last run of the horse was on the 10th Sep 2022 and that the time gap between the two races was probably short. He further advised that the horse did not respond to his use of whip. The explanation was noted. 10. Jockey B Jacobson (PIN DROP) was found in contravention of rule 147(6)(a)(i), in that, prior to the 100m mark, he used his whip in consecutive strides and, as such, a reprimand has been issued to him. 11. After an inquiry in the matter with Assistant Trainer Y Perdrau, who represented Trainer A Perdrau, Trainer A Perdrau was fined Rs 2000 for being responsible for the Double Declaration of the Rider under Rule 112D of the Rules of Racing. He was apprised of his right of appeal. 2. At the start, PROFICIENT (J Allyhosain) jumped awkwardly and jostled with NIGHTINGALE LANE (N Marday), who itself had jumped out awkwardly, and then went onto DIGITAL FORTRESS (N S Batchameah), who while regaining its balance shifted in and inconvenienced NIGHTINGALE LANE (N Marday). 3. At the start, ENIGMA CODE (N Teeha) brushed the gates. 4. Jockey R Joorawon (GONTRAVLIN) used his whip in consecutives strides in the running prior to the 100m and therefore, he was found in contravention of the Rule 147 (6)(a)(i) of the Rules of Racing. Consequently, a reprimand has been issued to him. 5. In the concluding stages, FASSI (A Roy) shifted in while ridden under the whip and brushed with AFRICAN ROCK (M Sonaram). 6. And then MOROCCAN RETREAT was eased off the heels of JACK TARR (L Goomany). 3. At the start, EDGE OF THE SUN (J Da Silva) jumped awkwardly outwards and took the running of JACALAC (B Fayd'herbe) who was then steadied. 4. Jockey A L Da Silva (MAURITIUS) was interviewed in respect of the movement of his horse in the home straight, wherein his horse first shifted ground inwards and took the line of running of JACK TARR (L Goomany) and then shifted away from the rails. After interviewing Jockey A L De Silva, he has been cautioned for failing to keep a straight course. 5. Subsequently, Jockey L Goomany (JACK TARR) was also interviewed and he confirmed that he felt that his horse was intimidated by the shifting of MAURITIUS (A L Da Silva), though he had room to ride out and he had not stopped riding. 6. Jockey GD Auchuraz (MOROCCAN RETREAT) was examined by the Medical Doctor post-race with an injury on the ankle of his right foot. The Jockey was conveyed to the City Clinic for further examination.
