Trainer S P Nagadoo was granted permission for SPECIAL FORCE (N Marday) to be led directly to the start in view of the fractious behaviour of the horse. 2. At the start, SPECIAL FORCE (N Marday) jumped awkwardly outwards and tightened CAPKUTA (M Sonaram) onto SEVENTH RULE (R Oodith) who also began awkwardly. 3. TRACKBUSTER (I Taka) began awkwardly. 4. MEZUZAH (R K Chumun) and BADAWEE (A Roy) brushed. 5. Near the 800m, TRACKBUSTER (I Taka) steadied from CAPKUTA (M Sonaram). 6. Approaching the winning post, CAPKUTA (M Sonaram) shifted outwards inconveniencing RAIN MUST FALL (N S Batchameah). App M Sonaram was informed to keep his mount straight in the future. 7. Jockey R K Chumun (MEZUZAH) and Trainer P Merven were interviewed as the Jockey was instructed to lead but at the same time not to cut pace with BADAWEE (A Roy), the other horse who they expected to lead. Jockey R K Chumun stated that after jumping away, he felt App A Roy was keen to take the lead on BADAWEE so as per the instructions he elected to take a sit behind BADAWEE. Trainer P Merven confirmed the instructions and was satisfied with the jockey’s ride. The Stewards decided not to proceed further with the matter. 8. SEVENTH RULE (R Oodith) and SPECIAL FORCE (N Marday) ran wide until 600m. 9. After the race, Jockey N Marday examined by the Course Medical Doctor and was found to have sustained trauma to his left foot which was painful and had swelling. The Jockey was declared unfit to ride in the remaining races, consequently he was replaced on his mounts. 10. The Commentor, Mr. Thierry Ng, was interviewed by the Stewards with respect to him calling out the placings of the horses, despite of there being a photo finish, before the Judge announced the official placings. The Commentator was advised accordingly to wait for the official placings are declared by the Judge. Veterinary Surgeon’s Report 1. TRACKBUSTER & SEVENTH RULE – No abnormalities detected. 2. MEZUZAH – Lost off fore shoe. 3. VSPECIAL FORCE – Bled one nostril, 30 days suspension confirmed.

Soon after the start, SEOUL (S Rama) put in an awkward stride inward which caused BELLAGIO KING (GD Aucharuz) to shift in and tightened INAUGURATION (N Teeha) on to SENOR DON (B Jacobson) who had also shifted outwards. As SENOR DON was being settled, INAUGURATION (N Teeha) who was on its outside and, was already racing in a restricted room, was squeezed out. 2.SENOR DON (B Jacobson) was keen and threw its head up as the horse was being settled from the start until the 200m. 3. Near 400m, INAUGURATION (N Teeha) was eased off the heels of SENOR DON (B Jacobson). 4. BELLAGIO KING (G D Aucharuz) was caught wide for most part of the race. Rescheduled time: NIL Starting time: 13h41.01 Stewards’ Reports 1. As the start was effected, TICKET TO CAIRO (N S Batchameah) jumped out with the blindfold and took no part in the race. After deliberations, the Stewards declared TICKET TO CAIRO as a nonstarter in terms of Rule 185 (b) of the Rules of Racing. 2. All monies invested on TICKET TO CAIRO were ordered to be refunded. Fixed odds winning bets were deducted by 25 cents per rupee on the face value of the ticket. 3. An enquiry was held at the HRD Office on 10th Oct 2022 in to the circumstances leading to this incident. The Stater, Mr. R Rawa, the Assistant Starter, Mr. D David and the Handler, Mr. Kenny Gustov, as well as App NS Batchameah were interviewed. 4. After having heard the submissions of all concerned, the Stewards decided to make a report to the HRO as regards the Starters. App NS Batchameah has been advised to be clearer in reporting the incidents in future. The Starters have been told not to assign the same duty to Mr. Kenny Gustov that he was entrusted with in regard to TICKET TO CAIRO. 5. At the start, ARNHEM LAND (L Goomany) and WALNUT (B Jacobson) brushed. 6. Soon after the start, ARNHEM LAND (L Goomany) shifted in to get the rail position and went across WALNUT (B Jacobson) causing the latter to be steadied and then took the running of POETIC LICENSE (J Allyhosain). Jockey L Goomany has been advised to keep his horse straight in future. 7. WALNUT (B Jacobson) was caught wide for most part of the race and weakened from 400m. Veterinary Surgeon’s Report 1. UNBELIEVABLE LAD and AFTER THE ORDER were restless in their stalls. 3. At the start, FRENCH REBEL (N Teeha) jumped awkwardly outwards and took the running of CRACKON (I Taka) causing the latter to be steadied and was then taken behind runners. AL'S LEGACY (B Jacobson) was slow. 4. FRENCH REBEL (N Teeha) was ridden fiercely from 1300m to obtain a forward position near 1000m. AL'S LEGACY (B Jacobson) travelled wide from 300m and in the home straight, as also CRACKON (I Taka) who was placed on the outside of the former. 5. Trainer R Maingard lodged a complaint against the ride of App M Sonaram, (DYLA VISTA) expressing his dissatisfaction since the Apprentice had not followed the instructions. Jockey D Schwarz (MOSCHINO) reported that his horse was proving difficult to settle between the 900m to the 700m. 3. Jockey GD Aucharuz (SIR BERNADINI) was found in contravention of Rule 147(6)(a)(i) of the Rules of Racing, in that, prior to 100m he had used the whip in consecutive strides in the running.
