General 1. Prior to the running of this race, Jockey B. Fayd'herbe (CHIEF RAFEEF) was ordered to provide a sample of his breath, which sample upon analysis appeared to be above the threshold as prescribed by the Rules of Racing. Accordingly, Jockey B. Fayd'herbe was stood down for the remainder of his rides for today. An inquiry has been opened into the matter. 2. Thereafter, the start of this race was delayed due to the change of Jockey on CHIEF RAFEEF. Starting Reports 3. CHIEF RAFEEF (S.Donohoe) jumped awkwardly. Stewards Reports 4. MASTEROFALLISURVEY (N. Batchameah) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. 5. Jockey S. Donohoe reported that his saddle slipped back and sideways. Jockey S. Donohoe appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to draw all saddle slips to the attention of a licensed official prior to unsaddling. 6. AFTER THE ORDER (J. Allyhosain) took an awkward stride at the 450m. 7. Jockey A. Aucharuz (INTOTHEMYSTIC) appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his riding in the early stages of this race. In this regard, his attention was
specifically drawn to whether it was possible for him to cross CELESTIAL MAGMA
(I.Taka) at the start and lead. Jockey A.Aucharuz explained that despite jumping marginally better than CELESTIAL MAGMA, he had observed that Apprentice I Taka was riding his mount in order to kick up strongly on his inside and hold him out into the first turn. As a consequence of this, he elected not to create a situation where he could get into a speed duel with CELESTIAL MAGMA and restrained INTOTHEMYSTIC to take a trail. Jockey A.Aucharuz further explained that his riding was according to the instructions from Trainer S. Narang. Trainer S. Narang appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his instructions on INTOTHEMYSTIC. The explanations of Trainer S. Narang were aligned with the statements of Jockey A.Aucharuz. 8. At the 150m, AFTER THE ORDER (J. Allyhosain) was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of AFRICAN ROCK (D.David) which was hanging in. Jockey D. David appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in his rides. Additionally, he was advised against the practice of using his whip on consecutive strides.
