Starting Reports 1. CAROLINA REAPER (N. Marday) lost one length. 2. SUPREME ELEVATION (V. Bundhoo) jumped awkwardly.
Stewards Reports 1. In the straight, FASSI (D. David) and INTOTHEMYSTIC (G. Aucharuz) came together and made contact on at least two occasions. A member of the Stipendiary Stewards called a race review into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the rider (G. Aucharuz) of the second placed horse (INTOTHEMYSTIC) against the winner, FASSI (D. David), on the grounds of interference in the straight. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Objection Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Objection Board considered the distance between the horses at the finish (0.20 length) and the extent of the interference, that the initial contact between the horses was primarily initiated by Jockey G. Aucharuz, that any subsequent contact were both horses coming together and therefore each in their own right contributed to the interference itself. Additionally, it simply could not be definitively established from the footage that but for, the above incident, INTOTHEMYSTIC (G. Aucharuz) would have finished ahead of FASSI (D. David). Therefore, the Objection Board overruled the objection and allowed the judge’s result to stand. 2. CAROLINA REAPER (N. Marday) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. Thereafter, this gelding was hanging in between the 250m and the 100m. 3. CHIEF RAFEEF (S. Donohoe) shifted out away from whip in the concluding stages.
