5. Jockey S. Donohoe reported that the saddle on COLOUR OF MONEY slipped back in the
running. As a consequence of this incident, Jockey S. Donohoe was unable to fully assist
this gelding.
6. In view of the Starting Report, the starting stall certificate for SUPERIOR FORCE (M. De
Oliveira) has been withdrawn. This gelding has been suspended by the Stewards for seven
days after which, it will be required to complete a jump out in a barrier trial to the
satisfaction of the Stewards

and advised it that AFRICAN ROCK's  (N. Batchameah) best race was when he led.
Therefore, this gelding would try to lead if possible. This tactic change was disseminated
to the public.

1. In view of the Starting Report, the starting stall certificate for QUATRO FIVE SIX has
been withdrawn. This gelding has been suspended by the Stipendiary Stewards for seven
days after which, it will be required to complete a jump out in a barrier trial to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards.
2. Between the 500m and the 400m, VAR'S ELUSION (S. Donohoe) had to be restrained
off heels on a number of occasions. Thereafter, this gelding was hanging in, in the straight.
3. Apprentice M. Sonaram (NIGHT KING) dropped his whip at the 200m. Accordingly, he
was issued with a reprimand.

4. In the concluding stages, ILLICIT KISS (R. Perez) was carried out by BALOUCHI (J.
Allyhosain), which shifted out away from the whip. A race review was called into this
incident, however, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, no further action was taken.
Jockey R. Perez appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his ride on
ILLICIT KISS in this race. In this regard, he explained that, out the gates, ILLICIT KISS
was slower than he expected and did not muster the anticipated speed in order to obtain
the lead. Accordingly, he elected to take cover. He further explained that between the
500m and the 400m, he began to contemplate where to make his run. In this regard, he
initially attempted to go in, however, BALOUCHI (J. Allyhosain) drifted in. Thereafter,
he attempted to make his run on the outside of BALOUCHI, however, at this juncture,
BALOUCHI rolled out just enough for ILLICIT KISS to become awkwardly placed on
heels. He further explained that the consequence of BALOUCHI’s minor movement were
that he had to hold his horse up for marginally longer and until entering the straight or he
would risk being trapped too wide on the turn. However, in the straight, this gelding laid
in throughout and whilst somewhat inconvenienced by BALOUCHI shifting out away
from the whip, ultimately, this gelding did not produce a strong finish.

3. Approaching the 150m, NOURBESE (R. Joorawon) had to ease and switched out in order
to obtain clear running after running onto the heels of SEA DANCE (I. Taka). As a
consequence of this switch, NOURBESE was briefly unbalanced.
4. Apprentice M. Sonaram (FOOTY GOAL) appeared before the Board, was shown the
patrol films of the race and advised to ride his mounts out to the end of the race to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards so as to leave no room for query.
5. Jockey M. De Oliveira reported that there was something amiss with JUNIPER LANE in
the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
