Donohoe appeared before the Board and advised that the track was on the softer side but was consistent and race worthy.

Maingard was specifically questioned with regards to the Apprentice electing to remain behind CAMPS BAY (I. Taka), resulting in him holding his horse for a few strides rather than travelling around CAMPS BAY. Trainer R. Maingard explained that this was in accordance with his instructions and was of the view that this had benefitted the horse. The Board noted the explanation of Trainer R. Maingard, however, he was advised by the Stewards that the reasonableness of instructions were to be measured against the circumstances of the race and this would be monitored by the Stewards going forward.

Sooful) lost its action in the running from the 600m and tailed off. In view of the performance of this gelding, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 3. Near 300m, ACTION PACKED (K. Ramsamy) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of NIGHT KING (S. Donohoe). An inquiry has been opened into this incident. 4. Jockey R. Perez (GOETHE) used his whip on the shoulder of the horse in a drawn position due to his horse hanging in and being placed close on the outside of SPRY (B. Ecroignard). Taking the circumstances into consideration, no action was initiated in the matter. 5. Jockey K. Ramsamy (ACTION PACKED) appeared before the Board and advised that he experienced kick back during the running of the race and was unable to see properly. Further, his horse was not striding out in the running and then near 300m, his horse was interfered with by NIGHT KING (S. Donohoe) which resulted in his horse losing action in the running. He believed that the horse may have bled again as had been the case in its previous start and accordingly, did not ride ACTION PACKED (K. Ramsamy) in the straight with his normal vigour. Jockey K. Ramsamy was advised to continue riding his
horses to the finish in future and additionally, the horse was referred to the Veterinary Surgeon.
