1. The off fore shoe of SMUTS (B. Deenath) had come off. As a consequence, the shoe from
the other hind was also removed and the horse raced both hind bare. Further, the horse was
examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was cleared to race.

1. BIG SMOKE (B. Ecroignard) was slow by two lengths and then was sluggish in the early
part of the race.

4. The side winkers on the right side of the bridle of KALI'S CHAMP (S. Bhundoo) fell off
during the running of the race. Trainer C. Ramdin has been issued with a reprimand.

Broadcasting Cooperation that the 1600m camera stopped working due to the rain.

stages of the race and travelling wide for most part of the race. The Jockey explained that
when his horse stumbled at the start, the horse’s head hit his face and he was dazed for
some time. In order to avoid kickbacks from the front runners, he elected to travel wide.
The Stipendiary Stewards noted the explanations of Jockey I. Chisty.
2. ARNHEM LAND (B. Ecroignard) hit the rail and became unbalanced at the 450m
crossing.
